Anyone need some Redemption cards?

Hello all,

New here as you can pretty much tell. I was cleaning up my games recently and I cam across a binder of Redemption cards. I have not played, collected or traded this game since about 95 and it has been sitting dormant in the games cupboard.

I have somewhere around 250-300 cards with about 150 unique cards. I have no clue what they are worth, but all the cards are in good condition, only ever played the game a couple times, didn't have anyone around that was interested in playing it at the time. some cards I have quite a few of, others just a couple, after all that is the nature of the CCG's.

If anyone around here is interested I can go through them and attempt to make a list of what I have. All the cards are First edition cards as far as I can remember. I don't remember getting any expansion packs or anything like that.

So, I'm hoping there is someone out there that can benefit from these since they are doing no good sitting in my closet.

God Bless,

Orillian

You should get back into the game. It has improved immensely since 1995, and it's much more interesting now.

I agree.  I played the game back in 1995 and thought it was really lame.  I put it on a shelf for about 10 years before coming back to the game.  When I returned, I discovered that Redemption had evolved into a really great game that was now a lot of fun to play.  And that continues to be true today.  Give it another chance :)

While the option to get back into the game did pick my interest for a couple moments. I saw the vast collection of cards that can be found for the game as well as all the changes I balked.

There is a rather large commitment both in time and money involved in getting back into a game like this, and the fact that I'm going back to school in the fall at the age of 33, makes what little I would have had go well away. :P Wife, Family, School = no money and no time! :P

Unfortunately I could use a bit of cash to help pay my tuition this fall as well, so I'm hoping I can find someone who will find the collection worthy of something.

I'll be posting a list of whats there shortly after the weekend, going for one last camping trip before the end of summer. :)

Just so you know, if the cards are simply from the original starter decks, (which is what it sounds like) they won't have much worth other than as collectible items.

I only say this because it would be a bummer if you spent a large amount of time trying to sell cards that do not have much worth currently. The original A/B starter decks were 50 cards each, if you had a couple complete decks you might get a little bit for them. Unlike other card games, first edition Redemption cards are a lot less powerful and collectible compared to more recent sets--not necessarily a bad thing, just the way it turned out.  :)

Have you checked the REG?
Have you looked it up in ORCID?

Actually you could do it for free online.  There is a program that lets you make decks from every card in the game and play other people online.  In fact we even have an online tournament that you can join (and even win prizes).  All of this is free.  Just go here.

Now as for time, I can't help you there.  You still only have 24 hours in your day :)

There are a few original cards that are of value though, that is if you bought and opened some of the original booster packs that were blue. Lost Souls - the one with a special ability is still a valuable card

I too shelved the game for 10 plus years and have gotten back into it when I got to me a great group of people that play.

Like prof said you can always join the onilne redemption tournament.
