I don't think the exact details have been shared yet (like how many cards are in it, though I think it's likely around 10), but it's basically like a side deck or sideboard from other card games. It's a set of cards checked with your deck (but separate from your deck) that still have to follow deck building restrictions in combination with your deck.

Various cards from the new set (and promos) will interact with it in various ways. Your reserve and deck get reset after each game.

The Reserve is a game changer. Looking at the new promos, for example "The Watchman", gives you on demand access to Major/Minor prophets who could all be in your Reserve along with Ezekiel, allowing you to potentially pack your deck with battle winners, but still only have say 50 cards. HSR isn't stopping you from going there, and you can go to prophets you may need situationally in some games, that you may not need in others. This is only examining the potential power of one card, "The Watchman", where as we see many cards spoiled already interacting with it as well and on equal if not in some cases far greater power levels

So to clarify....its a side deck with about 10 cards (possibly) that could be needed in the game but not necessarily used. My main deck will not change unless i have a card in there that allows me to get into my reserve. The reserve deck would hold some extra battle winners, heros, ecs, etc. that will help me in the game. Also, will my main deck still be at 50 and then the reserve is xtra or is my deck 40 and then the reserve gets me to the 50 mark?

No, your main deck must still be at least 50 and following regular deck building rules.

Your reserve can be up to 10 cards and cannot contain dominants.

The Reserve explained a bit.

Have you checked the REG?
Have you looked it up in ORCID?
