There's a chance at both, since TexP is included in the extra cards in the pack.

My understanding is that Rob will be putting random TexP cards in the FoM packs so you could potentially get the foil Mayhem and the Legacy Rare Mayhem...imagine being in a booster draft and you get passed a TexP Mayhem...

In my opinion isn't this a little too much??

Rob has already set up a replacement program for mayhem which is offering I believe a Mayhem with the white borders around it.

Should this full art mayhem be the replacement for the foil mayhem instead??

and/or this legacy rare could be Grapes of wrath instead since Mayhem is lalready being replaced??

In my opinion I don't see it necessary to remake Mayhem twice...

Nope--the idea is for this Mayhem to be a "chase" card. While it doesn't give an advantage over the old version, it looks amazing and has the updated ability text.

Grapes of Wrath is most definitely on the list of potential Legacy Rares for future sets.

This LR Mayhem is going to be fairly difficult to obtain. The odds of pulling a specific Legacy Rare will be around 1 in 93 packs (almost 4 boxes). Rob's replacement program with the TexP Mayhem will also allow Mayhem to continue being a part of the card pool if set rotation were to happen at some point down the road.

I guess that's what I was getting at as well I was wondering if he was going to give out the foil Mayhem and then just let people mail it back to him to get the white border Mayhem with the new updated wording or if he was just going to put the white border Mayhem in its place. Seem kind of strange especially if now there's a legacy Mayhem as well.

It's always easy to tell people how things should be done... until you're the one that has to do it.

Both the new and excess cards are manually packaged using bulk cards. They have an efficient system in place for getting that done. What you're suggesting is that they should break down that system to manually check every Treasures card to ensure it's not Mayhem and replace it if it is. Adding extra labor to an already tedious task seems unnecessary. And some players have expressed that they would still rather have the old foil version. Rob has been generous enough to offer a replacement system. That should be enough.

I don't know either way what his plans are for this. But given what I know of the packaging system and the turn around time I doubt that the replacement Mayhems will be in FoM packs.

It is a different one. Same as the original one only updated wording/design.

This is the replacement program Mayhem--it is considered a part of the TexP set essentially (as indicated by the icon).

This is a bit of an inside joke I have with my wife. A few years ago I gave up the idea to collect all the cards because they were getting expensive and hard to cofllect. At first, I was a bit frustrated, but I am better now. It was just my OCD nature getting the best of me.

The inside joke is: Rob keeps changing cards (new cards, AB versions of new cards and updated versions of old ones) to keep us OCD collecters "frustrated and broke."

I have been collecting and playing for 10+ years, the AB and nats 1st place SoGs are the only cards I don't curently have. It is a huge investment that my wife is not thrilled about.

there are 3 mayhems, 1: the original Mayhem that that will only be in 1/30 of the already completed old portion of the FoM packs, 2: the reprinted Mayhem that will be put in the rest of the old portion of the FoM packs and 3: the LR Mayhem that will be included in the new portion of FoM packs.

EDIT: nvm only the LR and reprinted Mayhems will be in the FoM packs.

I believe Rob was referring the already packaged TexP packs, not the "old card" portion of the FoM packs.

So there will only be 1 way to get each version of Mayhem: foil version in TexP packs, replacement version through mail-in program and LR version in FoM packs.

I understand completely. I have been collecting cards since Patriarchs was released. Over time as my collection increased my wife inquired when I was going to stop collecting. I told her I was going to stop when I reached 25,000 cards. That was some time ago because now my collection is over 55,000 cards.

My wife and I tried playing the game some years ago with the old E&F starters. We got very confused, created many of our own "house rules" to end battles, and just finally gave up.

Concerning my collection - I am missing the 4 promos from last year, the winner cards from the 16 and 17 Nats, and the CoW AB The Second Coming and Nimrod, the Mighty. Also, all of the Revelation of John AB cards. That is, if you do not count the alternate versions of Print on Demand cards (which I'm not sure if any are released yet).

How long will the replacement program last until??

I and maybe along with my other playgroup members in Canada probably would like to get replacement cards but not sure how we are going to buy return postage...

any ideas??? Would I have to go to a post office in the United States??
