I don't think you would need it, when you do to cut it just becomes a bracket style tourney
The Tracker is a vengeful deity. It would turn on anyone who abandoned it mid-tournament.

You can still use it just delete the top 8 players and use the rest to let the other people keep playing for some kind of consolation prize (since a main concern seems to be having everyone play) and do the top cut as a normal bracket style tourney.
Probability 101 Homework Question:
If a tournament tracker has a 25% chance of crashing (taking all occupants with it) every time you delete a player, what is the probability the tracker will continue to function after removing 8 players?
An unanswered question is infinitely better than an unquestioned answer.

Perhaps we should stop using the tracker if it so likely too crash. Optionally, you have to enter scores for each round yes? after top cut has been made, set the top cut players round scores to -999, moving them to the bottom and keeping the rest of the seeding in tact.

Why don't we just eliminate souls as a tiebreaker and make it win percentage of opponents?

A shade above 10%.

Clearly you haven't been here on the boards long enough.  The answer to any question about percentages is LESS THAN 0% :)
