There was some criticism of the font choice, but beyond that, the change was generally agreed upon to be easier to read and overall good for the game. There was also a change to use ESV instead.

Ok, so is this the direction Redemption is headed in? Or is there even a direction? I'm sorry about pestering about this, it's just that I've been gone for so long and don't know what's going on. I also apologize if I sound negative, this new design is a hard shock for me.

It's definitely the direction Redemption is heading. I contacted Rob numerous times offering my design services but I never heard back.

Here's one of the designs I came up with, which I ended up using for my own card game which is in development. Essentially the color of the upper left icon is the brigade.

I do think moving the text from covering up the picture was a step in the right direction. But that was a step that should have been done like, 10 years ago.

Yep, that's what a lot of people thought. And then we saw the actual cards (which look much better than mock ups on a screen), shrugged, and got on with our lives. These cards are considerably easier to read, and taking the text off the art was something that has long since needed doing. Could they be improved? Absolutely. Are they better than what we had? I think so, at least from a functionality standpoint. There are many other things Cactus has done right in the last couple years, and these things are worth celebrating more than the things that Cactus has done wrong are worth complaining about. And if you really want to complain about things, there are better things to complain about.
