The serpent (patriarchs and promo)
The leviathan
The Maltese viper
Lions
Coliseum lions
Bear

Some cards that work well with animals are the new Esau the hunter promo, fallen angel (from warriors I think. What ever the Crimson one is), and the new thrown to the beasts card.

Yeah, it is a little hard to make a deck based around them, but it's not impossible. Lions and coliseum lions will probably be your main characters. you might want to include coliseum too, and if you do, you will want to take out fire foxes and bear. those are just my suggestions. if you want, i can send you a decklist of my crimson defense, which utilizes animals among other themes.

Didn't we forget all the GOAT and RAM cards (e.g. Goat with Three Horns?)

I'm pretty sure they're classified as beasts, not animals because they are demons that manifest themselves in animal form

I think we should stop classifying them as "demons in animal form." They can stay in Orange brigade as Beasts, but they are not demons in animal form but metaphors for kingdoms, events and ideologies found in prophetic visions. Mayhem delenda est.

How would the territory class part of it function? If you just put it down from hand does the Banish ability activate? Also does the return to hand activate after every battle?

Yes, the banish ability would happen whenever you play it from hand. (Since it's not an ongoing ability, that's just saying when the ability activates)

Looks like the return to hand would be for every battle, yes.
