What do you think is the best weapon in the game?

My top 3 are probably..
1. Sword of the Spirit
2. Two Thousand Horses
3. Foreign Sword

Edit: just realized it said best, and not favorite weapons. I'd have to agree with you on your choices for the best.

SotW (CoW) feels like the best one hands down.

I feel like EMS (CoW) is underrated. So are Lahmi's Spear and Saph's Spear.

It's hard to disagree with SotS, but one major drawback is the potential for giving the opponent a D9 if they have Damsel, Messenger, Vittles or Outsiders. That can be as much of a game swing due to card advantage as pre-errata Mayhem.

Yeah that really hurts. The flip side of that however is that SotS kills all of those cards (except vittles?) if they are in territory.

My top 3:
SotS (Can pick off so much in territory, also can end up being a battle winner or negate if played in battle)
Angel's Sword (This with AW Michael can be really hard to beat)
2k Horses variants (many OT civs rely on these to get stuff played off otherwise cumbersome characters)

The d9 potential Sword of the Spirit could give is brutal, but the positives probably outweigh the negatives when played carefully.

Medium in Endor being a potential lock out makes it worth it.. Covenant of Prayer or Gain to Sword of the Spirit can be a safe way to play it.. Also ditching it and recurring it Consider the Lilies or A Soldier's Prayer

I mean I thought the assumption that these characters were blocking from hand after SotS was already in play was fairly obvious...

This. I don't play SotS in my Throne decks anymore because of the risk.

Not to mention, you can't use Mayhem to erase a D9 with any of those characters anymore either
