Wisdom in Choosing Summer Employment
« on: March 02, 2012, 06:17:30 PM »
I worked at a Christian camp last summer, and while I had an amazing time, bits of which I'll remember for the rest of my life, I left with a bit of a sour taste in my mouth, due mostly to the director of the summer program (he was the second in command, next to the camp director). I didn't really consider going back to work there again until my mother brought up the fact that the program director had been let go for financial reasons, and even considering the option, I must admit, brings a smile to my face. On the other hand, I may soon be offered a position at my university to work as a resident assistant over the summer (I was hired for the 2012/2013 academic year already), which would offer much better pay and wouldn't require me to work as much. Please pray that I would show wisdom and discernment in deciding how to spend my summer.
