today...
« on: April 03, 2009, 11:23:58 AM »
I'm taking the college accuplacer today... I'm kinda nervous because I've been homeschooled my whole life, and I don't know how I'll do... so please pray for concentration.

I sympathize. I've had to go through the same thing. I've been home schooled my whole life. I started taking college classes my Junior year of high school. I graduate high school this year and will have experienced the time of four semesters of college by the end. However, the first three semesters I only took one class. This semester, I'm taking two. Of course, those classes were being taken on top of regular home school stuff. Anyway, I'm praying for you. I completely understand the anxiety that it brings. Haha! I remember that if I didn't know the answer, I would use memorized Bible verses to pick one. It was like playing "Enie Meanie Miney Moe" with syllables of Bible verses. I'll be praying. I'm sure that you'll do great!  ;D Are you graduating high school or becoming a dual enrolled student?

thanks guys, but a slight change... I'm going to take it next Wed. instead... it'll give me a little more time to take sample tests and what-not.

keep praying though!

I will be a Junior next year, so I hope to graduate high school with my AA, but I'm not sure yet...

Will be praying. That's nice that you get to have more time to practice. If you want to run through anything, just post a question, and I can try and help you prep. It's great that you're doing it while you're still in high school, because you still have most of the things learned in your head.  ;) Do you have any classes in mind that you're hoping of getting into?

Oooooh! Sounds like fun! If you plan on transferring to another college, I would definitely try to make sure that you're able to get into a class that has transferable credits. Just check with your guidance counselor when you go to get things set up. Some classes will get you similar credits. Example: Some degrees and certificates ask for certain English credits. After English 111, you choose between 112 and 113. English 112 is usually wanted more in certain degrees and certificates than English 113. Anyway, I took Math 140 last semester. That was lots of fun (I'm a math kind of person). It was a survey of mathematics: geometry (just the basic stuff), algebra, statistics, ect.. Greek sounds interesting. Have you taken any in high school?

I'm assuming New Testament Greek and not Classical?
