Update: Surgery went well, but the doctor found that the infection was more serious than we had originally thought. My mom has what is called Necrotizing Fasciitis. Bacteria pretty much eats through your tissue from the inside out. That's why my mom's belly hurt so much. But, thanks to God, the surgery went well. And so far there are no signs of spreading bacteria (that's the worst part of the infection). If there is spreading the doctor has to open her up again. So, we're hopeful that won't have to happen.
