I got to thinking as I enjoyed the first 40 plus degree day in awhile how good God has been this past year. I wanted to hear from others how He has moved in the lives of you and your family not only for His glory but to possibly encourage/be a witness to others that you might not normally encounter.
I will start. My Father-in-law passed away 3 days before Christmas. He  had several strokes the past 6 years. He was a godly man who accepted me 23 years ago(mullet and all :) and lived Jesus everyday. His health had declined to the point where he would stare off and required quite a bit of care to the point where he had a colostomy bag. It was not his testimony that spoke to me but that of his wife who loved and cared for him with good vision in only one eye but a love that only Jesus can give to wife for her husband. Our Pastor gave a sermon several weeks ago about relationships. One line that really stuck out to me was that true love isn't show by flowers and candy but by serving those you love even when there's a strong chance that they won't remember who you even are the next day. Thank you Jesus for who You are and those people that we are blessed to know and meet who have unconditional love abounding because of Good Friday!

In the last year, God has provided miraculous healing emotionally for my wife.  She has been in various states of functionality due to emotional/physical issues for the last several years, but is now healthy enough that she is able to take care of our 4 kids and also teach 3rd/4th grade at the local elementary school.  And she is loving it.  Along the way God has shown her so much more about who she is in His eyes.

God also provided for myself and my children in miraculous ways akin to feeding the 5000.  We lived in Florida on the beach for almost 2 months.  God provided travel, lodging, food, and entertainment there throughout that entire time so that we didn't end up spending a dime.  This included being in a wedding, catching up with lifelong friends, visiting Legoland for the first time, and playing some Redemption with YMT's group a couple times.  It was absolutely amazing.

God has continued to bless me with a ministry where I feel like He uses my rather eclectic set of skills and interests to really make a difference in the lives of the people who are here.  He continues to speak to me through His Word and through the people who He has also brought into my life.  This included bringing a friend of my family from a really difficult home situation that I didn't know if we'd ever be able to serve.

I had the opportunity of attending and participating in Nats last summer, and having my KY playgroup take 3 spots in the top 20 of T1-2p, and the championship in Sealed Deck.  I was able to eat frog legs for the first time, and learn that they have the texture of chicken, but the taste of fish.  I was able to have my 2nd daughter start playing Redemption and traveling to tournaments with her older sister and I.  I was able to see the Hobbit in HD-3D and really feel like I was right there in Bilbo's home.  I was able to attend the funeral and celebration of the life of my Grandmother.

I love my wife. I love my kids. And for some weird reason, they love me back. I am truly blessed.  ;D

The fact that I love my job and my home are just gravy....  ;)
My wife is a hottie.
