Hey yall,
Please pray for the towns of Spencer, Candor, Newfield, and West Danby, NY. We are experiencing flash flooding and heavy rains. My school (in Spencer) is currently flooded - 4 feet of water in our basement/gym. My classroom is one of the ones on that level. This is our last week of school and we will not be able to use the building until further notice. Our science lab is also affected. Our high schoolers are supposed to take Regents Exams this week, well, somehow the tests are ruined. We have 3 different graduations/ceremonies scheduled for this week.
I'm not sure the extent of flooding in other places around town is. A bunch of my students are stranded at church because the flooding happened during youth group. Emergency crews were having difficulty responding to calls.
Just pray up a storm.... er... rather... pray the storm lets up and the sun comes out. And pray that we can end the school year as officially as possible (meet all requirements).
