I really hope the cheat sheet release will happen AFTER packs are available.  Even if just an hour after.  It is really fun to see new cards for the first time before you know what is in them.  It increases the excitement if you don't know what cards you are getting, especially if you don't even know what over half the cards are/do.  :)

I like to see the cards in the context of the whole set before buying packs, unless I'm buying like a box and thus would get a large majority of the cards.

So those of us who can't make the trip out to Cali get insult added to injury by having to wait at least a whole extra day?!?!?!?!? Why that just makes me... >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( NINE ANGRY!!!

Honestly though, I say if you want to wait until you open a pack to see all the cards, then just resist the temptation to look until then. We non-Natz going people need SOMETHING to do on Wednesday night since we won't be able to be there.

No one will be getting cards before Thursday late afternoon/evening.  And I said an HOUR later, not an extra day.  Patience, good sir.  :)

There will be enough for booster, plus enough for every registered player to buy about 13 packs, depending on the final count of players.

To clarify, they are supposed to arrive on Thursday, the same day that Rob is coming.

Hopefully he can start selling them by the end of the tournament that day.

They will NOT be available on Wednesday.

13 for me, 13 for TJ = 26*$5.00 = $130 Redemption cash   :)

If others cannot buy the full 13 will I be able to buy more?

Further to Bryon's posts, we assembled and shipped more cards today. I think the cards look nice.

It was very expensive to overnight cards from China to North Carolina, quickly assemble the card packs and then, turn around and ship them expedited service to California - around $2,000 expensive just in freight and customs.

Based on the number of players we expect at Nationals I am guessing each player will be able to buy between 20 and 25 packs.  If we have anything left over Saturday afternoon then people that want to buy more may get that opportunity.

Regarding Redemption Cash - I will accept some Redemption Cash but most of that will have to wait until the main shipment of cards arrives in early Sept.  For Thesaurus cards at Nationals I will accept up to 1/3 in the form the Redemption Cash.  However, 2/3's of your payment will need to be in real dollars.  Once the main shipment arrives in early September then you can spend any remaining Redemption Cash toward Thesaurus cards by mailing it in to Cactus.

Try not to complain about that please. I am already taking a hit by offering Redemption Cash in the first place and another hit in getting the cards to Nationals almost a month before the release date.

Finally, for all you loyal fans who can't make it to Nationals, see the front page of the Cactus web site.

Blessings and looking forwarding to seeing many of you in a few days,
Rob

On sale at the Cactus website!

Thanks for being generous in getting the cards to us for nationals, Rob.  And thanks for offering them on sale early for those who can't get to nationals.

I think you will not have much trouble selling out this set.

Wow!!! Thank you, Rob, for doing whatever it takes to make this set available to players at Nationals!!

 ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D  <= (I'm 10 happy)

I was seriously wondering how you'd be able to allow people to purchase TexP with Redemption Cash without taking a huge hit financially.  I honestly didn't expect you to accept Redemption Cash at all prior to the official release.  I like the compromise you've made and appreciate your generosity.

Players are really going to love this set.  Even though I'm privileged enough to know what's in it I'm just as excited as everyone else for the official list to be released so I can whiteness everyones reaction to the amazing cards.

This is still a very nice deal.  Say you have $35 in Redemption cash.  You pay that plus $70 cash and you get 21 packs, containing 42 foils, which is over 2/3 of the set.  Plus, you will have a stack of rares/ultras that you can keep or trade, or even sell, offsetting the $70 cash.  Very nice.

Now I have to deside to either buy the packs and get the shiny cards or buy tins so I can have some good cards that go together to help with making some decks for my playgroup (considering that I'll have to make three of them shortly).

I know I'm totally being annoying and asking for way too much, but will anyone be selling single TxP cards?

More importantly... if I place at nats, can my packs as prizes be Thesauras?  ;D

Guessing here:  If you take Cactus cash for your prizes, then you can redeem it for up to 1/3 of the cost of Thesaurus packs.  So, let's say you win 30 Redemption dollars.  You pay that plus $60 cash and you get 18 Thesaurus packs.

Would the cards available through the web site right now able to be purchased with Redemption cash (either in total or with the 1/3:2/3 ratio)?

Also, can someone who remembers explain the details for redeeming Redemption Cash on website orders?

Thanks!

The web site has no way to accept Redemption Cash.  Beyond being at Nationals, Redemption Cash will need to be mailed in and those orders using Redemption Cash will not be filled until the main shipment arrives... doing the best I can.  Thank you for your patience.

So the cards on the REG won't be released until tomorrow night? Or am I missing something?

I don't know when the list will be released, but I HOPE they wait until at least an hour AFTER Rob puts them up for sale at Nationals.
