Teams?

Ok, will somebody give me the basics of teams.  I know it is type I, and probably 2 on 2.  Do you rescue 5 lost souls or 10 combined?  I'm guessing cards that say discard opponent's cards, I'm guessing they cannot target your parners cards.  What else do I need to know?

One more question.  Do the players pick their own teams, or does the host?

The guidelines given on the link seem a bit incomplete. Are there any other more spelled out Teams rules, like maybe from the Prof...

Yeah, they're not perfect. There's been a few more rules that have ended up with an official ruling here on the boards... but no official rule sheet has been provided yet.  :'(

Would players use the same deck for Type 1 - 2 player and Type 1 - Teams?  Unless they bring two decks to the tournament, they are forced to play with the same deck correct?

Although you can use the same deck for both categories, it's not a requirement.  It's not uncommon to see frantic deck reworking right before teams, the deck just needs to be re-checked.  Alternately, two different decks can be used.

Players may pick their own teams, or if there are people who come to the tourney without a teammate, the host could match them together so they could play as well.

I try to answer any questions about TEAMS that I see :)

Would players use the same deck for Type 1 - 2 player and Type 1 - Teams?
One of the nice things about the current TEAMS rules is that people can be successful with decks that are very similar, or very different.  So you could use your regular T1 deck, or a separate one, completely up to you personal preference.

Yes.  Since there is table talk, you can plan it out so that they really are played "simultaneously."
