Redemption Tournaments South Carolina Area?

Hi, I am a Redemption player from Texas who recently joined the US Navy and am stationed in Charleston South Carolina for nuclear power school for the next year and a half to two years. I am just curious if there are any other Redemption players or tournaments near where i am stationed and if not how the online play works and all. Ive been playing for years and its just a little weird going from a place with many players to practically zilch. Any information or advice would greatly be appreciated.

Easy way to find out.  Have The Schaefer tell us his real name and then check with TCMgoingon30 to see if he's been part of the TX tournament scene.

Assuming that The Schaefer is legit, I'll explain to him that there the guy who basically is in charge of this whole forum is called The Schaef, and there are a fair number of people who would enjoy trolling him, so people are naturally curious if there's a connection.  However, since I assume he had to personally approve your membership, I'm thinking that he's already checked you out.

As for playgroups, the closest that I know of is Slugfencer's family which is just south of Charlotte.  The good news is that the National Tournament this summer is going to be in Knoxville, TN, which isn't too far for you :)

You can tell it isn't me because he knows big words. He even knows how to spell them right!

Who cares if it's a duplicate member so long as they don't spam.

slugfencer is the only one (with any regularity) who's listed in the players by state thread.

You can get the all-in-one installer for the program here. If you just want to do casual games, feel free to post "lfg" (looking for game) in the shoutboard to the left side of the forum. To connect, go to redemptionconnect.com and create an account, then click the "sites" tab in the upper right corner, and go down to "Play!"

Hi there. I lived in South Carolina for a few years, and didn't know of any groups there. Online play is pretty much the way to go.  Ring Wraith's link has what you need for that. Enjoy!

Hey!

As the other members have said, I'm in Fort Mill (about 20 min below Charlotte), which is about 3 1/2 hours from charleston. I haven't hosted any tourneys since I don't have a playgroup (I don't think I can count my kids!  ;)) and when there are other players we are several hours away from each other. I used to go to NC tourneys near Greensboro that DJ hosted, but that was years ago. Also, Atlanta used to have tourneys that Eric hosted, but that was years ago. I sound old!  :o
Online play is currently the best bet to stay sharp. If you're in the area, shoot me a message and we can play.  :)

Thanks for all the information by the way. :) I definetely appreciate it. Ill be seeing what all i can do and still take care of my obligations with the navy too. Thats the real trick. Ive only been here about 2 months so i still havent even gotten my cards or anything yet from back home. I was playing with FBTNB Site Lock ideas last i played. Oh what joy in facing Disciples Philles, but thats just me throwing out random information. ha ha. Thanks again and hopefully ill be playing some games here soon. :)
