I figured I would make a separate thread for this tournament, so that the general NH thread can be saved for other things. Here's the info:

Arden Hills, MN--January 14, 2012

District Tournament. Host: Jordan Alstad, jsalstad@gmail.com. North Heights Lutheran Church, 1700 W. Hwy. 96, Arden Hills, MN 55117. $3.00 entry fee then Type: Type 1 - 2 Player (free), Type 2 - 2 Player (free), Type 1 - Multiplayer (free), Type 2 - Multi-player (free), Type 1 - Teams (free), and Booster Draft ($12.00). Starts: 9:00a.m.

In lieu of the tournament fee, I will also be willing to accept ten Di/TexP/FooF/RoA cards that I need from my needs list, or three UR/Promos from the list. Check out my needs here. Please post on that thread which cards you plan to use if you choose that option.

I have not decided completely whether Booster will be Tins or Classic, but it will probably follow one of these formats:

-Tin set, 6 standard packs (Unlimited, Prophets, Apostles, Patriarchs, Kings, Priests), and Disciples OR TexP

-6 standard packs, Disciples AND TexP

If you have a preference, let me know here, and I will take that under advisement, though the final decision will be based on what my supplier (Bill) can provide.

There was a discussion about possibly playing a Type 2 event on Friday night at the game night. I would certainly be willing to allow that, but I would prefer it be Type 2 multiplayer and not T2 2P. If you plan on playing T2 post your thoughts here.

I should probably be able to make the tournament if I study enough for finals. I'm not sure about Friday night though, I might have a basketball game.

It's scheduled until 6, but if you stay for the later events, it might be 630-700. If you plan to stay for only the morning events (T1-2p and T2-2p, most likely), probably 200-300.

Hmm, the one i went to only lasted about a few hours and there was like 10 people. Is it a really big tournament?

It's a Minnesota district, which means it's going to be pretty big. You usually have about 3-5 adults, maybe 6 older kids and a smattering of RLKs.

Can't wait till Saturday. I get to play. I have finally spent sometime working on decks.

Tweeked my type 2 multi after our epic game at the last tournament. (6,6,6,7).

Built a new Type 2-2 player deck. I'm 1-0 against the Hobbit, so it has potential. (He probably let me win because he feals so bad about always beating his Dad)

Spent last friday night building a teams deck with Matt. Too bad those patsys from Rochester won't be there since they moved their tournament to the same weekend. Will be fun to test the decks out.

Working on my type 1 anti speed deck. Still needs some work. Probably not ready yet. Have to work on the offence.

You could always come to Rochester on the 21st and attempt to unseat us. We're planning on going to Austin to get some more local points since we're both maxed for district points in Teams - And just about everything else

Just to Confirm:

-T2 Multi will take place on Friday night at the game night. We might only get one round in though, so if there are more than one round of people playing, then we may have to finish it on Saturday.

-Booster will NOT include the new tins, which means it will include the six standard packs, TexP, and Disciples.

T-2 multi was finished at the game night. I got First,Nathan and Jordan tied for second, and poor Bill got third. Thanks for playing that ANB Jordan.
