Special Happenings at Nationals 2022

Now that we have those details out of the way, let’s talk about some of the exciting things happening at Nationals 2022! First off, each day at the completion of any of the official categories, each player will receive a participation promo! Please check out our announcement on Land of Redemption to see card images.

The Gospel of Christ phase 2 is set to release at Nationals! These cards have been sent to print and are on schedule to be used for the booster draft event! Gospel of Christ phase 2 will feature angels, empty tomb Heroes, nativity Heroes, thieves, Herods and orange demons. Cactus Game Design will be selling these exclusively at Nationals. They will become available to the public a few weeks after Nationals.

We have an amazing line up of borderless, alternate art winner promos coming to Nationals 2022!!! Prizes for the top 3 places will be made up of 3 cards amazing alternate art cards: Treacherous Land, King of Tyrus and a Lost Soul that you get to help us choose! Cast your vote for “Awake”, “Escape”, “Exiles”, “Humble” or “Prosperity”! ***EDIT*** Voting has concluded and "Humble" is our victor!

It takes a lot of people and many hours of labor to pull off a successful Nationals! As such Cactus Game Design is generously allowing us to give out a sharp looking alternate art Music Leader promo to Nationals workers!

Side Events
All of that is really exciting! But the most exciting part might be the side events!!!

With the change in official formats this year, maybe you’re one of those players that misses using your classic cards. Maybe it’s for nostalgia reasons or maybe it’s because that’s the bulk of your collection. Whatever the reason, we have an amazing line up of side events scheduled for you! Plus, an exclusive side event promo that you can only obtain from these side events!

Players will be able to sign up for any of the side events listed below. There will be a small registration fee to enter each side event. As soon as any side event reaches 8 people it will begin. Events will use the minimum number of Swiss rounds required to determine a winner (3 for 2-player categories and 2 for multi-player categories). Each side event category can be run multiple times provided there are at least 8 players interested! Winners will receive the exclusive side event promo, but can only receive one promo from each category.

Type 1 – 2 Player Classic
Type 1 – MP Classic
Type 1 Teams – Classic
Type 1 – LoC Constructed
Type 2 – 2 Player Classic
Type 2 – MP Classic

In addition to the categories above, we may also include these side event categories if there is interest:

Type 1 – Gospel of Christ Constructed
Type 1 – “Block” Constructed (includes FoM, PoC, LoC and GoC)
Type half
Type NW

I know what you’re thinking… what is this exclusive side event promo you keep mentioning?! Once again, we need your help deciding! We have far too many really cool options of borderless, alternate art promos to choose from! The Redemption Elders narrowed it down to 3 cards and will let the community vote to select which one we use! Cast your vote again, this time for either Foreign Wives, Jonah or Storehouse![/s] ***EDIT*** Voting has concluded and Foreign Wives is our winner!

Sealed Deck

Israel's Deliverance (starter decks K&L) will be used for the sealed deck event at Nationals this year! These will be a National Tournament exclusive release! These starter decks will not be available to the public for at least a few months after Nationals! Check out the announcement on Land of Redemption to see some card images!

Let us know that you’re coming! Please take a minute to pre-register for the 2022 Redemption National tournament by clicking the button below.

There are a few more updates to what is happening at Nationals!

With gas prices on the rise, we know that it's no small things for you to join us at Redemption Nationals this July. While we can't do anything about gas prices, we do want to do everything we can to ensure you have a good time and it's worth your investment to join us!

Everyone who pre-registers by Friday, July 15th will receive a free entry into their first side event (excluding Iron Man) at Nationals! Additionally, your name will be entered into a drawing for a free box of Gospel of Christ phase 2 (sponsored by Covenant Games) when it is officially released! You must pre-register by July 15th and participate in at least one category at Nationals to be eligible to win.

Your Turn Games new owner, Andy Fish, has announced the prizes for the Contender Deck Iron Man side event! Your Turn Games gift cards will be given to the top 3 places!
1st place $125
2nd place $75
3rd place $50

The church will be open at 8:30 PM this evening for people to arrive, register, hang out and play in side events. I will not be there this afternoon and our Youth Group has the church until shortly after 8PM.

Redemption community, thank you to everyone who took the time to come to Nationals! It was so great to see many of you again and to meet many others for the first time!!! Meeting friends in person that I have only previously spoken to online is always one of the biggest highlights of my Nationals experience. This year had quite a few firsts which made it extra special to me.

I'd like to give a HUGE shout out to the leadership team of elders and REP volunteers who ran the event. They did an amazing job keeping things running smoothly and answering questions which freed me up to focus primarily on hosting duties. Thank you for your hard work and service to the Redemption community!

Redemption players, thank you for being a kind, courteous and respectful group of people! Your care of the church facilities was outstanding. Those that spent the night at the church left the sleep over rooms immaculate. Grace Community will gladly welcome you all back again when we host another Nationals some time in the future.

A special thanks to the many players who jumped in to help tear down tables. Your desire to serve without being prompted is a huge blessing! It cut back on the work needed to get the church ready for Sunday morning and helped get our people home at a decent hour on Saturday night.

I enjoyed many edifying, spiritually uplifting conversations with both new and old friends alike. I love that our community can come together with our background of different worship styles and denominations, bonded together through our love for Christ. At the end of the weekend my body was weary, my mind was tired but my cup was full and my heart overflowing!
