I owned him with my characterless at States last year.

Writ captures a hero. I block with Madness, play Love of Money and Troops Discharged. His Goliath fights his Ashpanez (I control Ashpanez), converting the captured hero. Flip over Grail and make 5 rescues.

Another option would be to use Idle Gossip via Love of Money. Force his White hero to fight (you control the White hero) and use Warriors Redemption to take control of the captured hero.

Well, characterless is so leet, it'll be at the top table with good decks. They'll never play each other.

Seriously, I don't think angels/demons will ever work. I've seen many who've tried and failed. T2, maybe.

It breaks the character of the game. Better make a rule that you have to have a character in your deck.

There are a few more common problems I might find, like "What if my opponent plays characterless?", "What if they don't let me deck out before they attack me", or "What if they don't give me 5 free rescues?"
