Should Redemption upgrade to a world championship next year because of the group in swizterland and canada?Or should Redemption wait for more countrys to establish playgroups? Discuss.

The national tournament is already a world tournament.  Those players in other countries may or may not chose to participate.

I'm pretty sure we won't be holding a major tourney outside of the U.S. (except perhaps southern Canada, though I seriously doubt that) anytime soon, since no one would show up.  ;)

If Catus does host a world tournament, they really need to give the foreigners an incentive to participate in the tourney. Bragging rights doesn't seem to equal out for the cost to travel across the globe for a card tournament. An "International" Tournament sounds more realistic.

Redemption and Cactus Game Design is not large enough to have a pro-tour at this point. Maybe someday, but personally I feel Redemption has done pretty well considering it's not the greatest economic time for the hobby industry.

Well, if a huge endorsement, sponsorship type of deals were present it could be possible. For example, imagine if a large % of chruches, youth groups, Ministires, schools of theology, christian business... all contributed to have their establishment advertised and/or promoted around the events. The money used could be to given to the gamers as prize money. Say for example if you're hosting events at a store, talk to them about sponsoring you. so whenever that teams compets they promote their brand, wear their logos, and so on.

But then again it kind of seems like people would be playing for money more so than for what it was meant to be for: fun & fellowship.

haha, that's funny. Cash prizes would be difficult to use to persuade ministries to pick up sponsorship. I think maybe if it were like a scholarship or grant for tution would be a lot easier for a ministry to support or say cash for a missions trip.
