If we can all figure out a date I will inquire with my church family to see if we can host it. I am open to almost any time between now and nationals, Weekend tourneys will work best for me, during the week I am unavailable untill 5:30 Most days.

Umm I don't have a nickname you can just call me Shawn. A Saturday works best for me also.

***UPDATE*** I got positive feedback from my pastor on hosting the tourney, I just need more details, a date and cost estimates etc.. and I have to make a proposal at our next business meeting which is coming up soon. If we could pull together the info I will make the pitch.

Church wise, there's no cost as far as I know. Rey said he'll provide all needed material, the tournament entry fees themselves will cover that, so I don't think you need to front any money, and if you do, it will get repaid by the actual trounament. Someone may have to correct me if I'm wrong.

You are right!

Shawn, all you need is to provide the place for a Saturday (early to late). I will take care of tourney expenses. I will host it, collect fees to defray expenses, and will, together with the players fix the tourney area before and after the games. Your church might want to sell snacks and lunch, etc. Else, we can always order take out food. Therefore, no frills for you, Korunks --- just confirm approval to use the place. Also inform us if there are food stores nearby or if we can order for delivery (i.e. pizza).

Janissary, with your comments --- I knew all along that you were tailor-made to be a host yourself!

Shawn, why don't you already plan a date or a couple of dates to choose from (I see June 27 and July 18,25 as possibilities) for MD States that your church can approve ASAP. Ask them, and whatever they approve, we'll try to work around that sked.

Already working on it, we have a business meeting tomorrow and I am making my proposal to them then. Please pray all involved and interested that this will go well. I am pretty confident that this a mere formality and we are good but after tomorrow I will probably have the answer. I am going to ask about July 25th, any other dates that any one is thinking please post by tonight and I will include them. Thanks all.

I complete forgot that if we cannot do any States anymore from July 15th onwards. We'll need to find an earlier Saturday date. Let me know what you think works based on what dates are still available.

We will be in England from June 21-July 5th (yes I accidentally told Gretel without thinking where we are going) and then in Ohio till July 20, so sadly we couldn't be there beforehand. Ah well, maybe next year. But yes, still get more coming from other areas !!
