By intution, we can rule out NC (It wouldn't be at Cactus, too far out in the boonies) and OH (recently held there). RI and WI could also probably be legitimately ruled out (MA/CT and MN/IA are in the same proximity but offer more established hosts and player bases).

So we have CT, GA, IA, MA, MN, NE, NY, and PA. In my opinion.

That is exactly right. However, it wouldn't surprise me if we could make an educated guess that got it down to about 3 states.
