I think a music subforum would be great so those of us who don't care do not have to see the millioneth argument about favorite bands.

I think a music subforum would be wonderful. I've always liked the "rate the artist above you" forum game, but I've refused to post it as I'd feel like I'd be spamming the forum considering its current condition.

Although, the main hinderance will be different opinions on what is appropiate. (Almost) all of us can agree that obscene artists/bands would be inappropiate to discuss, but what about youth-appropiate non-christian artists? I know there was a discussion about that a while back, so we obviously have people on both sides of the issue.

Yes. I like to think of this forum as a giant cookie, free of charge. Whenever someone posts an entertaining or interesting topic that stirs up friendly conversation or debate, more chocolate chips or nuts are added to the cookie. Whenever someone spams (or posts a thread about music on) the forum, a giant can of spam is added to the cookie.

Now, don't get me wrong. I'm from Austin (maker of SPAM), but I don't like spam with my cookies.

I agree. It is somewhat annoying that there seem to be a few topics that just KEEP coming back around. Perhaps instead of just being annoyed we could start something fun with them.

My tastes in bands have changed since the old threads were made, so your post is not without merit. Since moving to Florida, I have been hearing bands that I never heard before on the local Christian radio station Z88.3. I listen to it every morning, and I have decided that although I still prefer 80's Christian rock groups, I also enjoy listening to:

1. Casting Crowns
2. Mandisa
3. Mercy Me
4. Kutless

I'm pretty sure I had TobyMac on my old list (as part of DC Talk), so I will not repeat that here. Liberty University alumni ftw!
