RIP Steinbrenner

My condolences to Yankees fans and the Steinbrenner family. This is a tragedy that deserves respect. As an avid Red Sox fan, I know that there will be disrepectful Red Sox fans who will make nasty posts on other forums, but know that this (along with the majority) Red Sox fan does not take joy in pain. I am as much grieved now as I was when Thurman Munson died in a plane crash. Rivalries are set aside in times such as these.
My wife is a hottie.

agreed.  even t hough I detest the Yankees for simply buying championships at the expense of smaller markets, at least Steinbrenner was honest in how he presented himself.  He played the game as an owner better than perhaps any other owner.  He knew he just rented many great names for their ability to win championships.  He has been an iconic figure in baseball and regardless of personal opinions, deserves respect for his honesty.

This is a tragedy, Steinbrenner was a huge force in baseball and really created the Yankees. Fortunately, he was able to see his team win the world series for the 9th? 10th? time.

Eighth I think. Seven during his ownership and then one last year. At least that's what the article I read said, I'm not much for baseball history.
