I hope you're pretty good already and not new-ish to guitar. Otherwise learning a hybrid song is like having a good season on your high school basketball team and deciding to challenge Kobe to a 1 on 1.

I've started to work on Mariana's Trench, but so far I only have the intro, since I really would prefer to do it on electric guitar, and all I have is an acoustic. I plan on buying an electric this summer.

I've been playing for about a year and a half with lessons (and 6 months before the lessons which was really just learning basic chords and picking techniques) so I'm not really at the cliffs of dover point haha.

songs I'm learning ATM:

truth be told I'm not really trying to learn the full songs just certain parts I'm trying to put into some songs for my band (not copy but just like a certain progression I want to implicate) so I'm not really learning any main songs just writing/learning songs with my band

I have been playing guitar for 4 years, and I have been in piano for 6 years. so I'm am familiar with music and fast fingers, but I'm still having a hard time playing that fast and hitting the right notes.
