Well, I'm definitely fast out of the gates.  :)

I know it probably didn't seem like a good week of football, but it was a good week of fantasy football for me: back to another 6-0 week and the most points in my points-based league!  So after 37.5% of the season is complete here's where I stand:

LeagueThis week  Record
Redemption Yahoo League147.985-1
Other Yahoo league92.025-1
Other Yahoo league78.125-1
Yahoo points-based league189.9729.9 (1st)
Redemption NFL.com league    1005-0-1
Other NFL.com league1425-1
Foxsports league137.36-0

Wow... nice job! My leagues are 4-2 and 3-3.  ;D

But I never knew how the leagues were scored till now... I picked more quarterbacks and WR then RB. Which is bad.  :D

You are quite welcome, I'm pretty sure this is one of my worst fantasy years ever. Literally ever. I was feeling fairly confident about my teams, until they started getting destroyed, and players stopped showing up. Clinton Portis? no show. And don't even get me started on Willie Parker. Then of course the whole Rodgers V Favre problem. Chris Johnson hasn't been the TD machine he was last year either. and a week after T.J. Howdayaspellit goes nuts, he only catches two passes for 20 yards... all in all a very frustrating year.

Can anybody help me with my stats this week?  I know it's not good because Romo had a bye, but I am still curious.  Thanks in advance to the considerate soul who helps me out with:
my score, my opponent and their score and my rank...   :)

Why do all my guys get phenominal games (er... RB and QB) when my opponent gets 41 points!?!? Agh... I'm thinking of joining one of the point leagues next time.  ;D

This is why I hate Fantasy Football

Week 7 My opponent has a qb that is projected to pull in 14 points.  How many does he actually pull in...?  40

In week 4 my oppnent and I were soo close it came down to a monday night football showdown.  I had Donald Driver, he had Bernard Berrian..  Guess who won?
You guessed it, Berrian Nearly doubled his projected stats while Donald Driver only got 5 out of a projected 9 points.

My third Loss was in week 2. I played Brady and my opponent played The powerhouse qb Byron Leftwich.  Brady gets 6 points adn Leftwich gets 2.5 times his projectd 10 points.

It seems it takes a Superhuman effort on the part of underperforming players to beat me.  I am just sick of being the victim of someone elses "carreer day"

Alright Stamp:  how bad did you beat me?

49ers 135.46
Soul Seekers Scrubs 92.34

Tony romo and Chad "ochocinco" Johnson did real well for you (33 for romo and 23 pts for chad) But you had 2 byes including yoru defense (broncos on a bye really hurt you)

And Stamp had to use three "career days" by players to beat you. Desean Jackson projected to pull in 9 points for Stamp acutally pulled in 25 pts, Vernon davis was suppose to only bring in 6 pts and he brought in 27 and Ricky williams was projected to be 9 points and he brought in 27

So you were tripple teamed while 2 of your players were on byes.  not a bad showing though given the circumstances

You're right....I can't complain.  92 points and I knew my defense was on a bye.  Too bad, his team had career days, but Stamp is in the lead so maybe he knows the secret to this fantasy thing.

It's actually a lot of luck.   :)

But I would have to put Romo's and 85's day in the "career" category, too.   ;)

In retrospect, this was the week from H-E-double hockey stick for me.
  • my record was 5-2
  • I extended my 1st place lead in the points-based league
  • I extended my points lead in three other leagues
  • I'm 7-0 in my Foxsports league

So why is it possibly the worst week I could have?  I lost to Da Raiders! in the NFL.com league.  I work with Dan Barry.  He's a Raiders fan.  No, let me rephrase that: he's a very obnoxious, drops-by-my-cube-hourly-to-tell-me-how-bad-the-49ers-are type of Raider fan.  He has the win to hold over my head the WHOLE year.  At least our team beat his in the recent moonlight golf tournament that our company held.  Otherwise, I'd probably quit!

Yeah, I would agree.  But 85 was merely the bennificiary of Palmers Career day which undid my win.

Yay for picking Chad OchoCinco! I want him to get traded to the Packers... Greg Jennings is already 85... he'll have to change his name again!  ;D

Another very good week for all my teams (with a little luck): 6-1.  Funny thing is the one loss came in the Redemption NFL.com league where all of a sudden I have a two-game losing streak.  :o  Turner helped me out last night to make up for a bad week by Schaub allowing me to nip crustpope by a field goal in the Redemption Yahoo league.  My teams are dominating in all the other leagues.  Here's the lineup I have for my 8-0 Foxsports league:

Starters
Brees
Jones-Drew
Cadillac Williams
Jennings
Ochocinco
Nicks
Vernon Davis
Rackers
Philadelphia

Bench
Rivers
Maroney
Greene
Sims-Walker
Burleson
Heap

Any update from my match this past weekend.  I can't imagine that it went that well considering Denver got hosed, and they are one of my big point getters.

The Containers got the win, 67.68 - 50.54.  Had you been able to put Vincent Jackson in to replace Ochocinco's bye week (16.3 pts), and used the stronger Zach Miller on TE (5.2 v 1.9), you would have won.

Yes!  Thank you very much.  I also must point out that your NFL.com team just set a new record for highest weekly score - 159!  Good job!!
