Bummer, this is another example of a misuse of spam.  If there was a thread full of spoilers for the next set of cards (like happens every year), and there was a lot of good info there that is really relevant to the game....

and you posted a single post (or even a few posts) in that thread with funny pictures like the military man or the car, then it would add humor and probably get to stick around.  But when you create a thread that appears to be dedicated to spam itself, then that crosses the line into "lock" territory.

This is especially true when there have been several threads in just the last couple hours that have either been locked as spam threads, or are asking questions about forum spam rules.  Timing is everything :)
