A few metal bands I've come across are: The Infinite Order; The Crucified; and I believe Pride of the Wicked (Maybe War of Ages?). Decyfer Down is a pretty good borderline

To get this back on topic, I'm more of a very hard rock fan. (In other words I like singing over screaming). But my favorite PURE metal bands are Becoming the Archetype, August Burns Red & one of the original metal bands Living Sacrifice. If you are a metal fan and haven't ever heard them, you NEED to check them out, just out of respect! Living Sacrifice is part of the reason a lot of the bands on the current list are playing music!

The reason some people say that, is they had a couple of cds in their early days that sounded a lot like Metallica. But now they are the traditional hardcore metal sound.
