Angel Wars Theology

So I re-watched the first 3 episodes of the Angel Wars animated show/movie series/thing over the past couple days (looking for card ideas, mostly) and I was reminded of a couple things that really bothered me about the series as a whole.

The first thing is that the series never refers to God as God. Not once (as far as the first 3 episodes are concerned). The only time "God" is ever said is in the phrase "courage and Godspeed," and in the opening credits/intro where they describe the background of the storyline (angels rebelling, war in heaven, constant struggle between good/evil) God is referred to as the "great maker king." The main bad guy (Morg) refers to him as "your king" (talking to Arianna) a couple times, too. Now, I realize that God is indeed a king (king of several things, in fact), but is there something against calling him God? Is there a reason they use such ambiguous terms rather than God or any of his plentiful names? Just seems odd to me.

Second, the angels reference a "council" many times during the episodes, and I was at a loss trying to remember any place in the Bible where something like that is mentioned. Am I forgetting something obvious, or is that something they invented for the show?

Food for thought, I suppose.

Also the "angels-in-training" concept is fictional.

They possibly didn't want to offend Messianic Jews, or were themselves.
As the the "council" it could be referring to the throneroom of God mentioned in revelelations where all angels are praising him.

This thread has a stunning lack of Que.

Honestly, Angel Wars had a lot of theological fiction in it.

I think it is safe to say that the creators of Angel Wars were more concerned about entertainment than theology. This whole series seems to be, at best, a chance to get Christians talking to non-Christians.

Fair enough. I guess I just need to remember that when I see the glaring holes it has, lol.
