Some fun ones from the Bible:
God sent bears to maul 42 of the youths who mocked Elisha for his baldness (2 Kings 2:23).
There were 42 generations from Abraham to Jesus Christ.
The city of Jerusalem covers an area of 42 square miles.

Westy is a rat. Rats also have 42 chromosomes. Therefore, Westy is harvest wheat. I knew that without looking it up; don't ask why.
