Witch of Endor
[Pale Green EC | 6/7 | Female, Magician | I Samuel 28:7]
May search deck for Divination. May reveal a pale green enhancement from hand (except a Curse). The next time a card with that name is played this battle it gains "Interrupt the battle."

Did I just break the game?

That's definitely a cool idea, and it's something Magicians could probably use, because they don't have the best initiative. I would reword it though, like, "You may search deck for Divination. Reveal a Pale Green Enhancement from hand. Once per battle, you may interrupt the battle to play that card."

I think so, too. ;)

Yeah, initiative is something I like giving to themes that need it. I added may for the search, but the rest I think I prefer my wording to yours, no offense. Mine allows for the possibility of playing another copy of that card with the "ITB" gain if the opponent manages to get rid of the one you revealed, whereas yours does not.

The problem with yours is that I'm pretty sure* gained abilities complete after printed abilities, so the interrupt the battle would just be tacked onto the end of the card, doing absolutely nothing. Also, if you happen to have two of the revealed card in your hand, and your opponent gets rid of either of them, I'm pretty sure you can still use the ability to play the other.

*I know this is the case for characters, but I don't think there's a precedent for enhancements, so I can't be 100% sure.

Generally speaking, "that card" refers specifically to one referred to by the previous effect, I don't think it counts for other copies of the card. I could be wrong, though.

That's true for cards in play, but I think hand works differently. I mean, if your opponent discards a card from your hand that you have more than one of, how do you know which one it is? You can word your own card however you want, but I would not recommend using a gain ability to do what you're trying to do.
