All of these are just reprints of old cards.  Shobach needs to have the "hold a weapon..." part be an identifier so that you can add the weapon outside of battle.  If you are looking for a good Syrian card to make, try making an small character, like Assyrian Survivors from the last set, so that Syrians can play all their wonderful kill cards

Wow I love Naaman's Wife, she is exactly why Syrians need: she gives initiative and helps the main theme at the same time.  Good idea

No, there's not.

At first, I thought Syrian Army was really OP, but so many offenses are really band happy these days, so it might not be that OP.

1. I doubt that either Syrian Archer or Syrian Victory is going to get reprinted because of adding ~5 words to each. But they're good.
2. Syrian Army is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay OP. Give it a higher or more specific cost or an instead otherwise this would get chucked in every standalone defense.

syrian army is fully interrupt-able so i don't think he will be splashed much, i would venture to say he is almost under-powered.  he is pretty much the same as egyptian warden and he doesnt get played much in my experience

I like it, but you could use it on and naaman's wife banded to naaman to band in syrian army to capture a hero regardless of protection.
Just saying.

If you need 2 or 3 characters in play to make a card CBN and the capture regardless of protection, then it is not OP if that is what you are trying to say

I think you should reword Syrian Victory to say "...capture up to two 'characters'" instead of heroes, since that's what the original says...

If it says Humans, then you don't need to say Characters, since all Humans are Characters.

Not bad, but if a Character is a Syrian King, then they are automatically a Commander. I'm not sure I like the Regardless of Protections too much... I just don't like it on almost everything...
They seem pretty lame as fighters maybe we should challenge them to a dance off or a redemption game

But not all characters are humans. You're just saying that so it doesn't work against your deck. ::)

But if you look, it's heroes, not humans.
ANB is good. Change my mind.

this is like eguptian wardens, and it is not overpowered by a long shot. egytian warden rarley works in my experance.

Syrian Army is way better than Warden because:

1. It can discard any Evil card, allowing it to go in any deck with a defense.
2. It's warrior-class, along with all the benefits that entails.
3. It generates a soul for you rather than generating it for your opponent.
4. He can easily bypass the kind of capture protection that stops Warden from being effective via Shobach.
I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!
