I don't like territory class searches since they are auto include free cards if you were planning on playing a card they search for (a current example being Polycarp auto included in any deck that would run a John and just move the John to reserve). An evil Moses is an interesting idea though.

In general I agree with your thought on TC search, but if you're actually running some Persian Evil Characters then you're sacrificing the ability to play all of Brown's other amazing Evil Characters that have way stronger abilities so I felt it was a fair trade off in this case.

This is a pretty good card idea.

I hope there will be Persians in the next card set.

The Persians theme has not got any help for a long time and I think it should be time very soon to get some new Persian cards.

That's true assuming you never print powerful new Persians. Cards like this can hinder design space. Instead of seeing one extremely powerful card to make bad Persians playable I would rather see several new or reprinted Persians with a unique theme on equal footing with current existing strategies.

Agreed on that point, but we already have cards like Damascus and Patmos. Granted Darius could work multiple times if you also block with him, but Damascus and Patmos can be recycled with Shrine and if you block with Darius, you put him at much greater risk.

If the new set is prophets then Darius should say negate all characters except Persians to have him be more powerful against the new meta and give players more incentive to play Persians. It's not terrible powerful this way because TC characters are and serves as a counter to unforeseen broken TC prophets, which you might even be playing in the same deck. If thematically this is unsatisfying pick another angle for the ability. Personally, I would like to see more of a set aside theme with persians like "If another persian is in play set aside all TC heroes and  placed enhancements for X turns. CBP". And not territory class himself.

X is the number of opponent's brigades in play

Some day... some day we'll have a Gibeonite treaty that actually does something useful. :prayer:

Neither Damascus or Patmos search the Reserve though, which is mostly what I think Josh is getting at. However, I personally don't see too much of a problem with it since it fits in a theme and if a powerful Persian is printed at some point then it likely will just take King Darius' spot in the deck rather than take up a spot in the Reserve. As more and more cards with Reserve access are printed, the card slots in the Reserve are going to become much more valuable.

While I can see why people aren't fond of cards like Polycarp (which now goes in every deck with John) and Covenant of Prayer (which now goes in every deck with anything), overall I don't think printing similar cards will be bad for the game. Well, similar cards to Polycarp, that is. We probably shouldn't print any more CoP's...
