Black/Grey (...actually not sure what brigade it should be)

S/A: Shuffle all N.T. Heroes and N.T. good fortresses into owner's draw pile. Cannot be negated if a disciple is in battle.

Matthew 26: 55-6

55At that time Jesus said to the crowd, "Am I leading a rebellion, that you have come out with swords and clubs to capture me? Every day I sat in the temple courts teaching, and you did not arrest me. 56But this has all taken place that the writings of the prophets might be fulfilled." Then all the disciples deserted him and fled.

That's actually a very good card, It hurts what will be a fairly popular strategy, has uses outside of that main counter, can be protected against by a new card, and isn't nearly as good as RDJ.

Its 1 per since its multi, and it fits the two 'anti-disciple' brigades.

Way OP and no cost.

Yeah, it's a pretty powerful card.. but its CBN status only kicks in against 12 heroes. ...unless it was crimson, and used by Judas! whoa..

And it only effects 1/3 of the offenses out there. I'd say there are more Priests/Royal/Prophets/Genesis/FBTN offenses that are played, compared to TGT/Luke/Disciple... and 2 of those N.T. offenses are accused of being O.P.

And the cost of playing this card is that you would have to shuffle your offense.

I like it, even though it would almost work on my angels (I would work for most of my deck if my opponent gets a chance to play it and not have it negated)  I could see it having some play, if nothing else it could be used in a side battle to slow down TGT or a few cards like that.

Definitely not OP.  Definitely UP.  Player A attacks with an NT hero, Player B blocks with inish, plays Desertion, Player B shuffles all of his/her NT Heroes and good fortresses into his/her draw pile, Player A's NT hero is still in battle  :)

It says "owner's", not "owners' ".  Wouldn't it just affect the person who played Desertion?  (see Nathan's ability)

No, the plural possesive form simply clarifies the existing rule that cards always return to the deck that they came from.

Player A, and Player B's heroes would both be shuffled.

That is just a misplaced apostrophe... a grammatical error on my part.

Ok, that makes sense.

For what it's worth, I think the card is powerful, but not OP, and I think it would be cool if it was made  :)

Target // What happens to targeted card.
Shuffle all N.T. Heroes and N.T. good fortresses into (its) owner's draw pile.

With this card, each card that has been targeted gets shuffled into its owner's draw pile.  It targets all cards that meet the requirement, not just the owner's.  You're thinking of an ability that only targets owner's cards, such as:
Shuffle all of owner's heroes back into owner's draw pile.

Nathan is unrelated.

Disciples counters already exist you can use Hypocrisy, Divisions in the Church but watch out for Of one Mind O:, False Prophets, RDJ, Corision (The 0/4 black repels males) and lots of other lesser known cards to stop Disciples.
3 Prophets Packs ftw

The question is: will Apostles become so popular that people will think twice before including Simon the Magician into their deck?

This is a good idea, but I think we should wait to see what Disciples counters there are in Disciples before we try making our own. The set is almost out.

Me likey

No, but gold will
No they won't (especially because he's pale green)
An unanswered question is infinitely better than an unquestioned answer.
