Solomon’s Temple - Type: Fortress - Brigade: None - Ability: None - Class: None - Special Ability: If Solomon's temple is holding an artifact special abilities on good Kings of Judah and Solomon's temple high priests cannot be negated.  Identifiers: Holds one Solomon’s temple artifact. -NEW!-

Book of the Law - Type: Artifact - Brigade: None - Ability: None - Class: None - Special Ability: If a Priest is in play Protect Lost Souls from opponents evil characters. - Identifiers: May be activated on a scribe. - Verse: Same Limited to scribes

Hilkiah the High Priest - Type: Hero - Brigade: Teal - Ability: 8/8 - Class: None - Special Ability: Search Discard Pile for book of the law.  May band to King Josiah and/or Shaphan the scribe.  Cannot be prevented.  Identifiers: Soloman's temple High priest, house of Eleazar - Verse: Same

Shaphan the Scribe - Type: Hero - Brigade: Teal - Ability: 4/4 None - Class: None - Special Ability: If book of the Law and King Josiah are in battle protect heroes in battle from enhancements played by opponents.  Cannot be prevented. Identifiers: Soloman's temple priest, scribe, house of Eleazar. - Verse: II Kings 22:8

King Josiah - Type: Hero - Brigade: Purple - Ability: 9/9 - Class: Warrior - Special Ability: If a priest is in play discard X cards from hand or territory to force opponent to do the same from the same location.  Cannot be negated.  Identifiers: X= # of II Kings 22 heroes in battle, Judean King - Verse: 2 Kings 22:1 - Changed

Ezra - Type: Hero - Brigade: Teal/Green - Ability: 4/4 - Class: None - Special Ability: If book of the law is in play return an evil character or a captured hero to owners hand, or band to a Zerubbabel’s temple priest, or Nehemiah. Identifiers: Zerubbabel’s temple priest, house of Eleazar, Prophet, Scribe

I figured it was sad that Book of the Law, such and important book to the Jewish people, had such a lame ability, particularly with so many good stories surrounding it.  The first three heroes touch on the story of the book of the law from 2 Kings 22, while the fourth touches on another story from after the Isrealite's return from captivity.  While book of the law itself isn't all that powerful it helps to set up these other characters to to awesome things.  On another note, the most powerful guys here (Ezra and Shaphan) are both scribes...

shouldent book of the law only be able to be used twice? even then it would still be awesomely amazing.

Edited, it was suppose to say opponents evil characters.  I meant it to stop Uzzah, but instead it stopped SoG, NJ, and Burial too! Good catch.

Like, it stops Uzzah, DoU, Failed Objective, S3 and Belshazzar's Banquet, all of which are extremely popular especially in small defenses. Being able to activate it on a Priest may be a bit much, though perhaps not since it's so limited in scope.

Midling. I would never use it without a Solomon's Temple reprint that somehow benefits Solomon's Temple Priests, even with the double-band.

Pretty balanced. Nice ability, but it takes a lot of specific pieces to make it work, and a single Writ/DoN/CM/Charms would disrupt the protection, and anyone riding a horse or using an ITB gets around it.

King Josiah - Type: Hero - Brigade: Purple - Ability: 9/9 - Class: Warrior - Special Ability: If a priest is in play discard X cards from hand or territory to force opponent to do the same.  Identifiers: Judean King - Verse: 2 Kings 22:1
X is undefined. Assuming you meant to discard "any number of" and X=# of cards your Discarded, does the opponent have to Discard from the same location you did, or can he chose which to Discard from? The way it's worded you can't split it up in either case.

Ezra - Type: Hero - Brigade: Teal/Green - Ability: 4/4 - Class: None - Special Ability: If book of the law is in play return an evil character or a captured hero to owners hand, or band to a Zerubbabel’s temple priest, of Jeremiah. Identifiers: Zerubbabel’s temple priest, house of Eleazar, Prophet, Scribe
Solid. I like Teal/Green characters with no restrictions on what they can play off HT.
I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!

Maybe limit it to be activated on a scribe?  They are the ones who would read it.

I was hoping to put a Somomon's temple reprint up but I haven't gotten it done yet, I'll try to have it up tomorrow.

The above mentioned Solomon's temple may have something to say about writ/charms...

I'll work on that.

Thanks, this is the one that I really want to see printed.

UPDATED:

Additional limit attached to Book of the Law and a rework done on King Josiah's ability.

I would too.

Updated with an idea for Solomon's temple.  I've gone through a couple of ideas, one lending protection, one lending CBN status to some guys, and this one with the instead.  I can post the other options if y'all would like to see them..

In order to do this shouldn't the card say something like "negate all effects targeting lost souls on opponents evil cards?" Because some of these cards are granting "protection" to the souls. So I could see players arguing that Belshazzar's Banquet would still work even with this artifact activated.
The only reason people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory.

It protects the lost souls from BB or Uzzah the same way that Thad or Abigail do.

[Solomon’s Temple - Type: Fortress - Brigade: None - Ability: None - Class: None - Special Ability: If your Solomon’s temple priest would be captured or discarded in battle, discard an artifact from Solomon’s temple and two good cards from hand instead.  Identifiers: Holds one Solomon’s temple artifact.
The price seems quite steep, and it seems to me like a worse Herod's Temple. Herod's Temple can do ANY N.T. Character, Good or Evil, can cost as little as one card, can be used regardless of whether it's holding an Artifact, and is optional. On the flip side, Solomon's Temple only works for Solomon's Temple Priests, costs 3 cards, can't be used more than once per round, isn't optional, and only benefits you in stopping Capture also, something which Zerubabel's temple does for free.
I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!

Any ideas on how to lesson the cost?  When I first came up with the idea it seemed a bit OP to me, so made it so you had to discard two good cards from hand instead of one.  It could just be me being over-cautious though.

Here is the other idea that I had for Solomon's temple:

Solomon’s Temple - Type: Fortress - Brigade: None - Ability: None - Class: None - Special Ability: If Solomon's temple is holding an artifact special abilities on good Kings of Judah and Solomon's temple high priests cannot be negated.  Identifiers: Holds one Solomon’s temple artifact.

I kinda like this one better, but past temple abilities have been purposed to stop opposing battlewinners so I went with the the instead on this one.  Additionally I feared that the CBN idea might be a bit too powerful, I don't know of any broken combos that this could make but I don't want my idea to be a game breaking one either.

I like the new one better, and it gives a very good reason to use Hilkiah.

Updated with new version.

EDIT: Do you guys think Ezra has too many optional abilities?  I count four, 1 return and evil character, 2 return a captured hero, 3 band to a Z's temple priest, 4 band to Nehemiah
