At first, I just saw the CBI protection, and was afraid.

But, then I saw that it was just from discard abilities, and that you had to have all Warrior Class heroes (meaning Sam and Angels would stop it).  Made me feel better, thank you for restrictions! :D

The only thing that worries me is the CBI band, because I'm not sure if FBTNB needs another 8/8 added in who can protect someone...

But overall, I like it :)

This is the 2nd (3rd?) time you've tried to remake this, why? There's nothing wrong with the old one, and each of your remakes is always way too good.

That aside, to balance it out, I would word it as such:

"May band to a red warrior-class Hero. If you band to David, protect him from discard."

Maybe put that on an entirely new card. :2cents:

The only way to make this not OP is "If only Abishai and David are attacking, Protect David from opponents."

I don't think the protection should get better.  It should stay as a protection from discard abilities on evil cards.  That always leads to better balance than being CBI protected from numbers and all effects, especially if the card has a 10 strength.

I actually really like it now.  It is balanced as far as I'm concerned, doesn't have ridiculous protection problems, doesn't lead to broken banding chains, and is still useful.  I like it :)

The CBI banding is still making it OP. Idk if you're aware, but the all WC restriction now only applies to the protection on David.
