2 Kings and a TC

Like Pol said in my Site Reprints thread, Assyrian Kings are not that useful. If you include my redo of Sargon II and these two that would make three useful Assyrian Kings.

King Asnappar
Pale Green 10/9
WC, Assyrian King, X= # of counters on Asnappar
Each time Asnappar blocks place a counter (limit. 2) on him or remove a counter to capture a human Hero to opponent's land of bondage. When discarded, except by a dominant, draw X. Cannot be Prevented.
Ezra 4:10

King Sennacherib
Pale Green 8/7
WC, Assyrian King
Vulnerable to O.T. Angels. If Assyrian Camp is in play, you may search deck for an Assyrian Commander and place it in territory. Cannot be Prevented unless King Hezekiah in in play.
II Kings 18:13

Temple of Nisroch
Pale Green
TC, depicts an Idol
If used by an Assyrian, place on a human Hero and negate it's special ability. If that Hero is returned to territory by an ability, discard that Hero and shuffle this card into Owner's deck.
II Kings 19:37

Did you mean "succesfully blocks?" Because otherwise he could just capture as soon as he enters battle.  ;)

by the way, what does "vulnerable" mean exactly?
if you're rude I'll flip a biscuit. yep.

Vulnerable - Cards that are vulnerable to <X> cannot be protected from, immune to, or ignore whatever <X> is. Vulnerable is not a negate nor a protect, it functions similarly to "cannot be ignored" and "regardless" in that it just gets around those abilities.

You get a + 1 if for no other reason than you used Vulnerable. :D

But I would give these a + 1 anyway because I love Assyrians and these are definitely something that would give them a boost.

Temple is very interesting, but you need to specify "special ability". "Ability" by itself refers to the numbers (*/*) of a card.

Sennacherib is nice, useful for getting out extra Assyrians (especially to then discard for PoJ ;)) and I think having to place it in territory serves as a nice balance since even in T2 you wouldn't be able to continuously search for duplicates of characters (unless, like I said, you're discarding them for PoJ usage, lol).

I agree with Mr.McGroovy regarding Asnappar. The ability to, for free, capture a Hero every time he blocks seems a little OP to me. I think adding "successfully" to the counter addition would balance it somewhat, though you could still then just have a loop of capture, win the battle, get a counter, capture, win the battle, get a counter, etc. I love the idea, it just needs some balancing.

I based made Temple more like the biblical story of it. In short, after King Sennacherib forces were defeated he withdrew from Egypt and went to the Temple to pray to his god, Nisroch.  There his sons killed him.

Asnappar requires more than X good brigades to remove a counter to withdraw a human Hero. (Makes a good combo with the new Temple).

I made Sennecherib vulnerable to O.T. Angels since his forces were killed of by the Angel at Jerusalem

I see hooky already changed Asnappar, but another idea might be that you could add a counter OR remove one.

Love these though.
ANB is good. Change my mind.

I'm glad you love them  ;D. I dislike cards that require X to be CBN and X is either useless or only slightly playable, like the current Assyrian Kings are.

Could you explain some why the "add or remove" would help? I'm just not seeing how it could.

I think he means something along the lines of "When this blocks you may place a counter here (limit 2) or remove a counter from here to cause a human Hero to withdraw......." That way you can't gain a counter and then immediately use it for the ability.

I think that might be the balance you're looking for and I think that would be enough to turn it back into a capture, I like the capture more than the withdraw.

This is pretty much exactly what I was saying. Typed it in a hurry (as evidenced by "hooky"  :P) I see you've already changed it, so I won't elaborate further.
