Black Enhancement

Interrupt the battle, select one of your evil characters to fight rescuing hero in a side-battle.  Negate all special abilities in that side-battle.  If hero is defeated, that player shuffles their heroes from play into draw pile.  If evil character is defeated, that player shuffles their evil characters from play into draw pile.  Cannot be negated if used by a warrior-class philistine.

What do you think? Fun?

"Negate All" abilities usually specify "on characters and enhancements." Otherwise, you will get a plethora of Ruling Questions about artifacts, placed cards, and the like.

It looks fun, but the ability is too long for a card.

Maybe...
Interrupt the battle. Select one of your evil characters to fight a rescuing hero in a side-battle.  Negate characters and enhancements in that battle.  Losing side shuffles all of their characters of that alignment. Cannot be negated if used by a warrior-class philistine.

It's still kinda long, but gets the same intent across.

your opponent should be able to choose the hero that they bring into the side battle

I agree with Nameless. This is currently no different than other side-battle cards. I think the verses would indicate a desire for both sides to choose their participant. Moreover, there should be a way to not allow banding, to reflect the true nature of the conflict. In fact, this battle should have the following elements:

1. No banding. Just negate is not enough, since some banding is CBN.
2. CBN Protection for the cards in battle from all SA. A true FBTN.

Actually, if you protect everything from everything then there's no need to negate special abilities at all. You can essentially just drop that part.

But, I still think it's rather long to fit on a printed card. This could be like The Darkness all over again. If you make the side battle against the rescuing hero then it shortens it quite a bit, and technically the rescuer /did/ pick their hero because they decided who to rescue with. :D

Made YMT's even shorter, perhaps to acceptable length even.
I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!
