I will post some commentary on the deck and the tournament later, as I have time. If it looks familiar, it should, as it is much the same as my 2012 3rd place deck, with some cards added from the new set. The two cards I wish I had were Hezekiah's Signet Ring, which may have won me the last game if I had gotten it at the right time (and is generally awesome, me not using it was a complete oversight on my part), and Wall of Protection (not having it only hurt in one game, my one loss, and it may not have turned the game around, but I digress). In any case, it was a great tournament, and I was very happy with how the deck worked.

You ran 112 and still couldn't find room for a WoP??? I thought I taught you better than that...

Have you checked the REG?
Have you looked it up in ORCID?

My thinking was that the only character that would worry too much about was Gomer, as CwD would stop most other ECs (except in mirror matches, but I didn't expect many of those). Like I said, Dayne being able to band to my demons probably didn't have too big of an impact, but it would have been nice to avoid.

It would have mattered if I could have just drawn Grapes before the end of the game, because I was planning on discarding your WS and shuffling everyone else in decks to reset your D when Gates wasn't up (which I could set up since you were popping them to deal with CTB).  With less characters, I had ways to handle that deck, you just got set up with all the characters in the first few turns and I couldn't reset it.

Of course you mean you would have discarded your Lot's Wife...else Grapes wouldn't help much.  ;) Though yes, I can see how that would be bad. We'll never know the impact of my deck being shuffled would have had on the Gates you underdecked, but it certainly could have gone better for you there. I just realized after the game how much I really needed HSR though...would have stopped both Fortify Site and Secret Name, and if it didn't help me win, it certainly would have helped.

In either case, it was a great game; usually that deck will eat Judges' decks for dinner, as even Ehud usually can't be that persistent, but you played the exact way you needed to. I was fortunate to escape the full loss; I think in the end Ehud got 4 souls, and missed out on another 6 attempts (Grapes, CM, GoH x2, Burial, Scattered off of Abimelech). It was brutal.

Nope, I would have discarded your WS:

Wandering Spirit
Reveal the bottom card of deck. If it is a demon, put it in your territory. May band to a generic demon. If your demon is discarded, place it beneath deck instead. Cannot be negated.

Not my demon, so no underdecking whatsoever.

And yes, Ehud is the answer to decks like yours where I absolutely, positively have to have you block with someone you don't have things to play on/with.  However, I didn't need Canaan so much as I just needed him, since if he were not in play I could have searched using AwSN for him and choose whoever you couldn't block with CBN while CwD was up.  For example, whichever brigade you had no enhancement in, I would choose a demon (Spirit of Temptation, Panic PG, Panic Crimson), who would be negated.  Urim and Thummim came too late for me to get automatic rescues there, because by the time I had it you had each brigade in hand.

Honestly, Urum and Thummim, Canaan, and Ehud make one of the absolute best combos in T2 currently.

Good point on WS, forgot about that wrinkle.

Ehud was actually the reason I added Suicidal Swine Stampedes in there. I initially didn't have any EEs for Orange, as I didn't like having to remove my guys, but I realized that having him choose SoT could be problematic with CwD up.

To simplify a bit more, Ehud by himself is one of the best combos in either type. Anytime you force your opponent to do anything, you have a significant advantage, when you can do that at every attack, it is great. Cards like AwtSN and Canaan just make it all the better. I figured that between CwD and GoH x3 that I could handle Ehud, but you certainly disproved that.
