Who liked it and who didn't.
I didn't really like the movie as a whole, but I love the guy that played Eustuce.

I really liked it.  Eustace really made it enjoyable. I went to the 3D version and it didn't really add anything for me.

First one still the best.  But Reepicheep totally made this movie.  Simon Pegg wins again.

Didn't bother with the 3D; we saw Christmas Carol in 3D just to see what the noise was about.  Didn't add a lot to that movie, but we figured some movies might be worth the effort.  Only two movies demanded that we see the 3D version: Avatar and Tron.  Neither disappointed.

My favorite part of the movie is where Reepicheep is going to Aslan's world and he sticks his sword in the ground said "I won't be needing this." I love it because it indicates how heaven we won't need anything like a sword because it is all peace and love. My other favorite part is when Eustuce and Reepicheep spar.

There was already a thread on this somewhere, and you can find all of my opinions there.

The kid that plays Eustace is a MONSTER actor. If you want to see another really good movie that he stars in, Son of Rambow is your best bet. He was also in an episode of Doctor Who, so w00t there.

As a whole I enjoyed the movie, although I didn't enjoy the massive deviation from the original book. There was plenty in there (they even cut a lot out) to make an amazing movie that's also true to the books. Also, the movie seemed to have a difficult time with pacing. Enjoyable, but not my favorite.

I'm looking forward to Silver Chair, because it's one of my least favorite books so the expectations will be lower coming in, because the pacing in the book is awful so the movie can only be better, because it will heavily favor the best actor in any of the Narnia movies, and because of the cool correlation between Doctor Who and the screen versions of Narnia (Eustace in the new Narnia was in an episode of Doctor Who, and the actor who played Puddleglum in the BBC Narnia actually was one of the Doctors...sweet).

Anyone know what they're doing next?  Magician's Nephew, perhaps?

Probably Silver Chair if they want the same Eustace.

The producers hope to do Silver Chair next, thus the nod to Jill Pole at the end of this film. Also keeps the actor about the right age.

They've also promised to get a new actress to play the new evil queen, which is good, as I'm getting tired of Tllda Swinton.

That's lame. They should go in order of the book's order.

In other news, Magician's Nephew has the initials MN.  :-*

The movie was pretty good. I was not happy when I discovered that 3D was the only option, which cost me an extra four bucks and a headache. I haven't read the books for years, so I didn't remember all of the things in the movie that deviated from it, but my fantasy junkie sister informed me of all of the differences I missed.  :P

Also, I agree that the actor who played Eustace was the best actor the movies have had yet. He played his role so well that I was actually reminded of how awful of a person he was in the book despite not remembering very many of the rest of the plot points.

I hadn't seen that. My guess is that Walden wants to bring the four kids back into a prequel to try and regain LWW fans, but they'd probably have to add story to give them enough screen time. I know a SC script was commissioned back when Disney was still on board, but they could easily change direction and save it for later. I'd be happy with either one happening, and since VDT crossed the arbitrary $100 million mark, one probably will.

IMDB has no recollection of him in Dr. Who, just Son of Rambow.

Very likely he wasn't credited since he was only in one episode and BBC isn't as finnicky about crediting as American media.
