The Capaldi era has officially begun!

I quite like his take on the Doctor so far. As long as he gets good material to work with, and no more slapstick falling asleep noises (seriously, what was that?), he will fit right in on this show.

I was kind of disappointed that the (probably) only time we'll get to see crazy Capaldi (the opening scene and the scene in the alley were priceless) was tarnished by the presence of Vastra*. All in all, though, I think that if he keeps on this way, Capaldi may well be my new favorite Doctor.


*I feel the same way about Strax. :P

Well, Series 8 has ended. Thoughts?

Personally, this was my favorite series of the reboot, and Capaldi is my favorite Doctor. I really enjoyed the focus on character analysis, rather than big over the top speeches and repeated catch phrases.

Well there will presumably be a Christmas Special like previous years, and most likely Series 9 will start sometime next year (unless they take a year off).
