I have not heard any of his solo music, but he was the voice of Petra for many years, replacing Greg X. Voltz (the original voice of Petra). I loved Petra, especially with John Schlitt at lead vocals. He has an amazing voice. Petra's Beyond Belief album is one of my favorite albums of all time.

His latest solo record came out tuesday and it's as good as some of his best work with Petra. It's a rocker for the ages the name is The Greater Cause.

I prefer Farewell myself. I own the album digitally and it's an amazing way to end an amazing band.

My wife wanted to make sure that you knew her little secret:

John Schlitt held her hand from the stage during a Petra concert while singing My Prayer. She was in the front row at the concert because her best friend had backstage passes and got her front and center.
