Can a defense based on set asides work?  Here's what I came up with for starters.  What else might be good to include?

Darius' Decree
Lion's Den
Mildewed House
Lost Soul (shame)
Self
The Amalekites' Slave
High Priest's Maid
King Ahaz
King Jeroboam I
Haman
Persian Presidents
The Thief
Deceiving Spirit
Users of Curious Arts
Torment

Would your plan being seting aside hereos with evil cards? or setting aside evil characters to do cool things?

Yeah. Also, I found that you can make a sweet deck with evil set asides, use them in battle to set aside your opponent's defense, and your offense uses set asides in battle to set aside your opponent's offense.

But for this... absolutely. I'm sure it could work. Would remove from the game count? :D

My original plan was to set aside my opponent's Heroes so I could abuse things like Darius' Decree and Persian Presidents.  Another advantage is that there really isn't any protection against a set-aside defense.

I don't see any reason we couldn't incorperate using set-asides to do cool things with our own Evil Characters.  What did you have in mind?

Is that even legal?  I was under the impression that my evil set-asides could only set aside my Evil Characters or my opponent's Heroes.

That defense is gonna rely heavily on King J 1 if you run into more than like, 5 heros. XD

Add some sitelock to that strategy and it might work. Otherwise...nnnnnno, I don't think so.

That's a list of potential cards that could be included in a set-aside defense, not a complete defense in itself.  That list is pretty spread out among different brigades.  I'm sure it needs to be fine tuned.  Even still, I count 8 ways to set aside an opponent's Hero and a couple of them can get more than one Hero at a time.

You're a defensive expert, Lambo.  What suggestions do you have to make it work better against a deck with more than 5 Heroes?

Site lock seems like a natural fit since there are already two Sites on the list.  With all that brown in there Taking Naboth's Vineyard seems like an obvious choice.  What else do you think should be incorperated?

I haven't really thought about doing this type of a defense before, but I feel a sitelock + setaside defense could work.

Rough version I just made:
