I wanted to see if anyone has ever used herods dungeon in a deck. I was thinking it could be pretty good, but wanted input as to if it is a waste of time to build one

It's good but not yet great.
I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!

Herod's Dungeon (texp) was one of the best cards in my Herod's defence.  It's a great tool against FBTN.  But that's not to say that a Herod's defense is very good.  It's fun to play but no better than average.
Have you visited the Land of Redemption today?

I say go for it. The newest stuff is the most fun to use.

Since it can capture all male heroes with 7 and all OT heroes with 5 or more offense (with cov with salt) I use it in my Gold defense deck. Egyptians mix very well with it.

Themes Herod's Dungeon hits hard(If you Spreading Mildew the protect fort on Teal/Prophets):
Prophets
Kings
Genesis
Red Warriors (Though, You may need to use HHI)
Teal

In other words, it doesn't do well against NT (which is ironic).
