I'm thinking about doing disciples and I was wondering what defense I should use.

Any defense you'd use with Disciples needs to be small.  I've tried Egyptians, ManDemonium and Phillies, all with moderate success.

This is not necessarily true. Disciples being in purple (plus Boat) makes them a relatively speedy offense so a moderately sized defense can work well with them.

I actually tried Phillies with my Disciples last month and it didn't work out well at all.

Boat works better the more Disciples are in it, so you need a LOT of heroes.

Use a standalone with Sabbath breaker and AM slave. I've won more than I've lost with it.

I use 10 in my deck.  But once you get ten heroes, and some enhancements, doms and staple arts, there's not much room left.

Depends on the overall size of your deck. My Disciples deck is 63 cards right now. Plenty of room for defense in there.

I tried a 63 GardenCiples, but didn't like it.  I'm at 53, and wondering if I should go up or down.

My 63-card deck is just disciples on offense. The rest of it is for the associated artifacts, doms, souls, and then the defense.

I've thought about combining my disciple and tgt decks into gardenciples, but I hear more about the combo not working very well than it being super awesome.

Depending on the size of deck, splashing just the TGT fortress might get you a free soul, but that's never happened to me.

Lol, I hope all three of you guys (tripleplay 1, 2, and 3) aren't all planning to use Disciples this month. That would make at least 4 of us using them at next week's tourney.
