Cactus Game Design Message Boards

Hey everyone,

I've been working on a new website for looking up Redemption cards. I've rolled out the initial version today. I still have a lot more work to do, but I figured you guys would like to check it out and give me some feedback.  You can see it by going to www.saraphgames.com/lexicon.

I'm planning on working on the following enhancements next:

• The Fall of Man cards and some of the promotion cards are missing, so I'll be working on getting these added to the website
• You can currently only lookup cards by searching card titles, so I'll be working on adding more filters
• I'll be working on a way to consolidate displaying cards that have been reprinted in multiple sets

Let me know what you think! I hope adding the more advanced filters will help making new decks more fun in the future.

It would be cool if you could search by modifiers too, like "Musician, Egyptian, etc." as well as search by rarity by typing it in.

Thanks for the positive feedback. I just rolled out an update that allows you to now search by type and special ability as well. For example, if I select special ability and search for "negate good enhancements", it will show me 35 cards that contain these three words. Everything is currently using and operators, so checking multiple boxes will probably not be as useful until I work our more advanced searching features.

I will work on adding parameters that will allow searching by modifiers, rarity, and set next since they have been directly requested. After this I'm planning on working on adding filtering for the different brigade colors.

Please let me know if you get unexpected results. Let me know what you searched for exactly, and was missing or appeared that you didn't expect. This will help me determine if it's an issue with the code, or if there is simply a mistake in the database. Also, if you do not see the newest changes right away, you may need to clear your browsers cache before they appear.

Currently, we have been "Creative" on how we pull data, but at NATs I got Gabe and my cousin on the phone to discuss the matter. Hopefully, moving forward we will have a better system to add cards.
