I'm using a FBTN heavy offense in my deck, but i'm looking to refine my deck a little. Would refined by fire be a major card to keep since it gives a huge persistent bonus to FBTN?

No I have never seen that card used and you should have high enough numbers with out it.

Don't use banding cards use banding heros and Chariots, and make your deck FBTNB instead of FBTN.

This. FBTNB shouldn't rely on enhancements. (Except maybe David's Triumph)

The best Silver/Green combo is Isaiah, which requires an Assyrian defense to be used properly (and I know you don't use them). It also has a Purple King, which puts you at 3 brigades, more than you want. Blue has Jacob (band to silver) along with RTC, which is nice for a free rescue.

If you are doing that then your deck cannot really be FBTN or FBTNB.

I agree with this. Silver has two of the strongest FBTN heroes in the game, however, FBTN, in itself, isn't strong anymore. FBTNB, however, is, and by nature, FBTNB uses way more than two brigades, and in some versions can theoretically use all seven, if I'm not mistaken.
