This was my favorite deck to play this past tournament season. It started off hot with a 4-0 record at WI state and MW Regional until it came undone in the championship round at regionals. (For those counting, I played 2 other games at regionals with a combo deck).

No one seemed to be playing CtB counters this year in the earlier tournaments I went to so I figured I could throw a curveball. The bummer was I guess I played it too soon as several top players teched specifically for CtB at nationals with this deck and my combo deck in mind. Albeit I played at state under the impression I was not attending nationals so I didn't have much to save it for.

I believe Canaan is a great counter to many of the popular offenses now that rely on a couple key heroes. My defense usually left my opponents with limited rescue options and my deck was so fast I was able to win very quickly most games. All three of my losses involved my opponents drawing a large amount of heroes in the first couple turns.

At nationals this deck went 2-2 with 1 loss full of misplays on my part and the other running into deck that had tech specifically designed to stop me (although primarily to stop my combo deck - Goshen for all disciples + Simon the Zealot kept me from capturing at will and kept me from discarding many cards off his deck).

Had a few different iterations and teal + Kidron was added with the new cards. Forest Fire was a new add suggested by Jordan that I liked. Pithom was a late add that should have done wonders for me (turn 1 against Gabe) but I kept forgetting to underdeck.

6 wins (7-1, 7-2, 7-3, 7-1, 7-1, 7-4)
3 losses (4-7, 1-7, 3-7)
+17 differential

Feel free to run with this deck all next season - it should be a solid play still.

I just realized I accidentally listed Seven Years of Famine instead of Seven Years of Plenty. I definitely only played this with Seven Years of Penty. Sorry Noah, I believe that unfortunately may have hurt your chances to take first. The deck is very fast and those cards were supposed to make it faster.
