The Watchmen and I will be doing a Zoom session for a LoC constructed T1 game this week. I want to go ahead and post my deck anyway. I bought 2 super boxes and one regular. I did not pull a Papa Abe or Doubt.

Ruth, the Redeemed,
Jesse, the Ephrathite

Root of Jesse
Royal Parade
David's Descendant
Abraham's Descendant
The Lord Provides
Ruth's Vow
Boaz Resolve
Boaz' Offspring

Philistine Armor Bearer
Captain of the Chariots
Zerah, the Ethiopian
Army of a Million Men
Assyrian Officer
The Rabshekah
King Sennacherib
The Rab-saris
The Tartan

Hooked and Shackled
Sennacherib Blasphemes
The Rabshekah's Threats
Offer of Exile
Hired Sword

Assyrian Affliction (usually used as an EE)

Forbidden Marriage

Assyrian Camp (used interchangeably)

Wall of Protection

Book of the Law
Windows of Narrow Light
Matthew's Begats

Led Astray
Awesome Ride
CotK

5 Meek (I could use generics from other sets but I'm not)
Complacent
Oppressed

Reserve:
Gold Shield (LR)
Mercenary Chariots
Foreign Spears
Foreign Horses
Goliath's Armor
Jacob, Follower of God
Salmon, the Peaceful
Marriage Covenant
Your God Will Be My God
Oath of Purity
I wasn't sure how well this deck would play out. I love this set but I have seen, for strictly LoC constructed format, that the GE's do not have some of the same firepower as previous sets do. I personally think this is fine because the set is so amazing and there are so many amazing character abilities. The EE's are insanely strong and versatile and I do not think good needed a huge boost in general. Also, meek shuts down a lot of abilities anyway so you don't want, from a playtest perspective, to make too many strong GE"s.

This deck can easily bounce back heroes to constantly use their convert ability, it's kind of based on abusing that from two particularly strong meek flip heroes, plus Zerubbabel. Both David and Noah are insane, so the more you can bounce these two, the better. The offense has a lot of options and it is extremely efficient and consistent. David grabs what you need over and over and I can band to a meek when characters and enhancements are negated with Windows out and a lot of my GE's are CBN on meek/CBP. Jesse is good for a band/negating opponent's characters in territory. Ruth is amazing and I can flip her in a pinch for Windows and still play a CBP battle winner on her as well. Boaz is solid and adds to the consistent gameplay. Rahab helps with bouncing and has great initiative. Mary protects my big meek heroes. Joseph swaps and makes meek heroes even bigger and then they are usually protected via Mary or WoP. So I can add to battle through Begat's/Awesome Ride, have consistent protection and constantly get flip abilities back. Adam grabs Noah from the deck, Noah flips and I now have a 20/13 band that prevents cards and most of my enhancements works through this, or at least enough do. This is a major play in the deck. Zerubbabel is in there for now but flipping to d2 to a 12/8 meek red hero has its perks as well.

The defense loves to band to itself and pulls out weapons from the reserve. With a big band and weapons that make me protected or prevent what you play, this is extremely difficult to get around. Throwing in an Assyrian Office or Assyrian Camp also helps a huge band to negate everything.

I guess I need to find the LoC Constructed announcement again, but Legacy Rares are in fact allowed in Constructed? Obviously they'd be allowed in draft but is it basically just all Legacy Rares offered in LoC are legal? So that'd be what, anything above 36?

Yeah Jayden, I believe it’s anything above 36 and I thought you could play with LRs in constructed but I’ll find out.

AFAIK, the rule for LOC Constructed is anything with the set symbol - the red blood drop. That includes the 240 cards that are properly part of the set, the 18 Legacy Rares packaged with the set, and the 6 LoC Only promos.

So only meek souls from LoC then?  No others allowed?

Oh, that's cool. Didn't know the LRs had the symbol on them.

I think that's the way it will be enforced at tournaments, for sure Nats anyway according to Gabe. Chris Gabe also mentioned for the online tournaments they'd should probably still allow non-LoC meek souls due to lack of LoC availability at the moment.

Edit: Fact checked.

Marcus is correct (as usual 😉). Per the rules only LoC meek souls are allowed. Due to the current shortage I plan to discuss a short term exception with the leadership team that might allow any meek LS until LoC is readily available from Cactus.
