Hey,

I recall that Gabe posted a no enhancements deck about 1-2 years ago.  Alas, it was...before the dark times...before the purge.  :maul:  I was hoping to see some form of that again.  Of course, Gabe has probably long since taken it apart.

Gabe?  Anyone?

It's basically standalones, a couple cheap blockers, and Zebulun.

Mine actually got 2nd in the tournament (my only loss was with a different deck), and it had both evil and good, balanced. Cards included:

Jephtah
TGT
fbtn Banding
Uzzah, Tembling Demon
SSOS

And other cards that didn't need enhancements. It's still viable, I'd bet.

I know it's a really simple concept, banding fbn and standalones.  I was just curious to see the original.  I agree that it is probably still viable, strangely (and sadly).

Not that I'm going to criticize this deck or anything, but I'm surprised at the number of arts you use. ;D

The deck was basically just a massive defense that used Zeb to win.  Most of those Arts help out on D.  Three of them can go in the Tabernacle and U&T doesn't really take up a spot.  Chariot and Blue Tassels are there for the offense but only used in very specific situations.  But I agree, that is a lot of Artifacts. :)

I built the deck as a novelty because I didn't think a deck without enhancements would be any good.  It went 16-0 before losing 2 straight games to Daniel TS RED (I miss that dude :'() using a FBTNb offense.  It went on to win around 22 games.  I can't recall if it ever lost any more games before I retired it.  I'm sure it didn't have any more than 4 total losses though.

I didn't play the deck after RoA was released.  It looks like I must have started toying with which RoA cards to add and he got into my saved decklist.

I made a close to enhancementless deck last season. The only enhancement was brass serpent.

it won states and regionals and played gabe at the final table at nats (by another person)
