"Revelation Music" Nats 2017 4th place (Updated 12/30/17)

Needless to say, this deck has been through a lot this year. Thanks to Justin for planting the idea in my head to do a Music Leader/Martyr-based offense with brown (a brigade I've not really used much). Record in the tournament was 5 wins, a 4-4 timeout tie, a 4-2 timeout win, and a 3-5 loss. +17 LS differential.

51 cards
LS: 7
Humble
Lawless
Crowds
Imitate
Gain
Dull
Jim

Dom: 7
TSC
SoG
AotL
GoYS
3 Woes
CM
FA (w)

Arts: 4
Image o’ the Beast
Ark o' the Covenant
Covenant o’ Prayer
You Will Remain

Fortresses/Sites: 2
Heavenly Temple
The Ends o’ the Earth

Heroes: 9
AftS
Peter
Claudia
Polycarp
Faithful Witness
Justin Martyr
Music Leader
24 Elders
Woman w/ Child

Good Enh: 5
Overcome!
Word o’ Christ
Consider the Lilies
Hate Wickedness
Love Righteousness

DAC: 4
Fifth Seal/Justice Seekers
Warning Against Rebellion
“Today”
Kinsmen’s Agreement

EC: 8
Doeg
Medium in Endor
King Saul
King Zedekiah
King Rehoboam
Gomer
Job’s Wife
The Deceiver

EE: 5
Scattered
Bad Dealings
Gibeonite Trickery
Dungeon o’ Malchiah
Haman’s Plot

Reserve: 10
Eternal Covenant
Eternal Inheritance
Blood o’ the Lamb
Word o’ Their Testimony
Gamaliel’s Speech
Third Bowl o’ Wrath
Foreign Wives
Emperor Claudius
Uzzah
Treasures o’ War

I think the only cards I never used were Eternal Inheritance and Third Bowl o' Wrath, but the only one of those I'd cut would be EI. I checked in three copies of this deck just for Haman's Plot. I ripped one, my very first ever, in the 5th or 6th game to win. It was fun to finally let it rip, but I'll probably never use Plot again because I don't really like it as a card. Too many bad vibes. :P

Overall, I'm pretty sure this is the most consistent, efficient, enjoyable deck I've ever played (not to mention the prettiest, with all the AB CoW, RoJ, and Dom cards). It should win against most balanced decks, and has lots of options for defending or attacking. Comparing this to my previous builds, I can safely say every change has been for the better. It could've gone all the way if it had a better master. ;)

I gotta say this surprises me. In my build, EI was pretty amazing. I played it a couple of times at Nats as a clincher for 5 souls and it allowed me to bypass a Balaam's Disobedience against a Pharisee defense. You can also bait opponents into a Foreign Wives block for initiative.

Probably just my personal preference. I'd usually grab Gam's Speech out of Reserve with Fifth Seal, with 3rd Bowl coming after. Eternal Inheritance is kind of a boring way to win a soul, and only like a last resort.  :2cents:

Did you give any consideration to using Brown/Crimson Outsiders and then putting Image in the Reserve? That was one of my favorite "surprise" plays if my opponent was counting on You Will Remain to get around Martyr or a CBN Scattered.

Have you checked the REG?
Have you looked it up in ORCID?

I did use Outsiders at Iowa States with Image in the Reserve. Problem is I'd rather block with just about any other Evil Character, and Image is too good to not have in the main deck (against Moses, YWR, HSR, etc).

I've been gradually tweaking this since Nats. This is what it is now*:

50 cards
LS: 7
Punisher
Darkness
2-Liner
Imitate
Lawless
Dull
Jim

Dom: 7
AotL
SoG
TSC
3 Woes
Mayhem
FA (w)
CM

Arts: 4
4DC
I am Creator
YWR
CoP

Sites: 1
Ends

Heroes: 9
Priests o' Christ
Woman w/ Child
24 Elders
Justin Martyr
Polycarp
Music Leader
Peter
Angel from the Sun
AotW

GE: 5
Overcome!
Word o' Christ
Love Righteousness
Hate Wickedness
Words o' Encouragement

DAC: 5
Fifth Seal/Justice Seekers
Kinsmen's Agreement
Warning Against Rebellion
Behemoth
Fire Foxes

EC: 7
Foreign Wives
Lions
Uzzah
King Zed
The Deciever
Abaddon
Red Dragon

EE: 5
Lurking
Scattered
Dungeon o' Malchiah
To Each His Own
Hypocrisy

Reserve: 10
Eternal Covenant
Eternal Inheritance
Blood o' the Lamb
Word o' Their Testimony
Gam's Speech
Gates o' Hell
Emperor Claudius
Seven Sons o' Sceva
Gomer
Treasures o' War

*I've not played this in a tournament. This is very new and untested in general; before, the changes I made since Nats that I have tested are:

-Swapping Humble and Gain souls for Darkness and 2 Liner.
-Swapping Image o' the Beast and Ark for 4DC and I am Creator.
-Swapping Heavenly Temple for Priests o' Christ.
-Swapping Faithful Witness for Fire Foxes.
-Swapping "Today" for Lurking
-Swapping King Zed and King Rehoboam for Abaddon and Red Dragon
-Swapping Bad Dealings and Dungeon for Stiff-Necked and Wickedness o' the Tenants
-Cutting Haman's Plot
-Swapping EI and 3rd Bowl for Mercy o' James and Gates o' Hell

All of these changes I think have made it better, but with this most recent one I'm going for more speed and quick punches rather than longevity. Since, if another set rolls out before the summer, this deck likely won't be the same by the time the big tournaments come around anyway.
